Can someone recommend a place for future hubby and I to go on our honeymoon?
Really want to go on a nice hunt somewhere but would also like something with private cabins.
Our wedding is coming up very quick (march 29th) and I am having a hard time finding somewhere to go.

check us out. we don't have a fancy 5 star lodge, but have a nice 3 bedroom house, and some great animals to choose from.

Uh... Do you have a sister? Lol

Seriously, all the outfitters responding ate excellent choices.

Late March can be a difficult time to hunt. A lot of deer species have already dropped horns. While some ranches have some great axis in hard horns, it is my experience its tough to hunt them when you are looking for a specific animal.

I would look into Oryx, Blackbuck, or maybe Nilgai. A velvet Axis is a real possibility. Blackbuck will prolly be the least expensive. Are you looking for animals for the both of you? A BB doe could probably be added for a nominal cost to a trophy hunt.

I'm sure all the above ranches have some nice BB, but I can tell you personally that Porters has a ton of them, with quite a few in the nice desirable all black color. I was there a couple of weeks ago chasing a Sika and we were overrun with shooters - it was almost comical. smile

This is the one person I can vouch for! Lol. All the rest are great I'm sure, but Robert I've personally hunted with.

Thank you! I will have to check into all of these smile
We each want something. I originally wanted a Fallow but after talking to one guide already he said they probably would have already dropped his horns smirk

mommyto2boys, last year I had a chance to hunt with Double K Outfitters. Kelly was great and made time for our group at the last minute. We were there in March and we seen a bunch of fallow that still had their horns at that time. I can tell you the lodge is very nice, I would not hesitate to take my wife there for a vacation hunt. I am hoping to make a return trip to Double K later this year. Good luck with your hunt and congratulations on your wedding
