You can hunt deer there also. However my lease is out that way and when I get out to open the gate on opening morning it looks like TMS on race day. The line of cars is stacked deep with all the others trying to hunt there. It's the same way for opening day of duck season.

True I did not really think about that, as I've never hunted public land in any season always private land so I didn't have to worry about that. I think I would rather put up with getting up very early and getting out there first than paying 15K. Of course I would never pay the god awful amounts you guys pay for Texas deer leases I'd just drive back to AR and hunt for free or wait for public land.

The public land would be free an that would hunting, the lease is high fenced with pet big bucks already. It's almost a sure thing that your gonna get a chance to short high scoring deer that you can show off to the other yuppies.

There are hundreds (if not thousands) of acres of free hunting up here where you'll never see another soul. But the locations of those places are guarded pretty closely. Only the locals know about them and we often don't even share the information amongst ourselves.
