You have to get a permit from the Corps office which is on the west side of the dam. There they will give you your map, and awnser any questions you may have.

The permit is required. Not a type 2. Just a permit from the lake authority itself. I have nto hunted the lake since they started that. But It is either free or 7 bucks.

Yes the corp requires a permit and it will probably go to a lottery like they did with Grapevine and Lewisville.

No permit this year, but the permit system will be reinstated for the 2010-11 season. Google up the Lavon Corps of Engineers website for the current hunting rules and hunting map. There is a link to their hunting information on that site under "recreation". Same place you will find the hunting rules on any of the corps lake websites.
