Are your deer coming out to the feeder while the sun is out yet or are they still nocturnal? I have not gotten any on the trail cam during the day and I went out to the lease yesterday and stayed until 8pm and still saw nothing at the feeder. Just wondering if anybody has seen movement during the day yet. I know it is still early.

I usually do not have the nocturnal problem until later in the season once hunting preassure has set in. Try setting your feeder time to go off at daybreak and at lunch time. Just a thought.

Ours are still nocturnal but I may have to try that lunch time thing.

I've got a single doe that started coming out last week at 3:30 PM or so and would hang around for about a half hour. Seemed kinda weird. All other activity has been between midnight and 5 AM.

My timer goes off at 7AM and 430Pm for now. First year hunting in timbered East Texas. When I was in South tx I could throw a Snickers Bar on the ground at 2pm and they came running. Any advice on my feeder times, or is it still just too dang hot?

I went out to the lease this past weekend and the deer are beginning to come out during the day. I was sitting at a feeder at 7:00 p.m. saturday and saw about 9 doe and 4 point. Then sunday morning from about 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. I sat in my condo blind and saw another 8 doe and a pig. Then at around 9 a.m. I drove to my other blind and saw a couple doe, four pigs and some turkey. Sooo what I am trying to say is that I am beginning to see some deer during the day.

I must add that this weekend was a lot cooler than normally due to cloud coverage. I have one feeder set up at dawn and dusk and the other set up to feed at 6:45 a.m. 10:30 a.m. and then at like 5:30 p.m. and then at about 8:15 p.m.

Mine are at the feeder at 0700, 1200 and 1900. Get a straggler or two during the night. Even the hogs are around mid day.

I downloaded my game cam pics this past weekend and have deer coming to the feeders at dawn until 8-9 am, and 5 pm until dusk. Also the usual suspects at midnight or so.

Deer won't go nocturnal until the hunting pressure sets in.

The tree rats emptied the feeder a month or so ago. I haven't gotten around to filling it since I went to put a cage on the bottom of the barrel and tore the solar panel off bringing back to the house where the tools are.

I saw a doe about a week ago right around 1pm. Then, a few days ago, I was sitting on the deck drinking a cool adult beverage and out pops the same little doe. It had to be around 3:30-4pm. I was talking on my cell phone, too. She walked to within 40 yards of me and just took her sweet time, browsing and walking around. She kept on going, but that isn't bad since the feeder isn't running.

Ours started appearing during daylight hours about 3 weeks ago. Right on schedule.

A bunch of daytime pics, anywhere from 7am-9am, some between noon and 2:30pm, and then in the afternoon. Don't have many after dark, just coons and a big old boar hog.

bigwaldo, I pulled the card on camera at my place outside Nacogdoches. 95% is at night. Few does hitting it right at dusk. One spike at around noon, ocassionally. Nothing in the morning. Your feeding times are fine. In east texas, the corn lays there until the deer or hogs are hungry anyway.

Bowie county - all times of the day and night. Approx 75% of the pics from my cam have been during the day.

Cass - early morning and late afternoon - 40% are during the night, though.

Young bucks during the day and the bigger ones at night. Go figure.
