Anyone make it out there today?

I went and all I can say is that ammo prices are all over the place right now, and NONE OF IT IS CHEAP!!

I did walk away with some Glock 9mm mags, and found some Federal Hydra Shock 40SW 50 rounds per box for $24.95! Saw those same boxes on other dealers tables for $55 per box, and saw some 20 round boxes for $32.99!

Saw quite a bit of 380 ammo too! The cheapest I saw was Winchester value packs 100 rounds for $55! That was by far the cheapest 380's around!

I've always maintained that gun shows are great places to shop for gun related items. To see what's out there, handle it, and investigate other options. But when it comes to buying, very few good, or even fair deals are to be had. Most of the time stuff is marked up to almost gouging proportions. That's why i don't go to them anymore.

I would agree with that and thats why I quit going to go the shows as well! This was the first show I have been to since the Market Hall show last November or December and I was always one of the guys that made all the shows in the DFW area!

I would have skiped this show also but I needed some Glock mags and I knew the show would be the cheapest around to find them!

I can tell you that there wasnt near as much gun buying going on as there use to be! Even the new handgun dealers had empty chairs where you do the papper work pretty much every time you walked by!

Big Town Gun Show. Not only NO but He11 NO!!! Only good vendor that I ever met was the knife maker and the guy from Precision Ammo I believe out of Grapeland. Even the old mom and pop type tables have lost their minds.

I've talked to A LOT of people who refuse to go back to the Big Town Show.

One positive about the show is the sign up for the Texas State Rifle Assosiation. I always re-up or give to those guys.

It's because of all the Mexicans buying automatic weapons/grenades/missiles for their drug war, drives the prices up. up

I don't think I have heard anything good about Big Town in a few years.
