Boy, if I'm guilty of not adhearing to God's Word, this would be the scriptures I hardly ever think about. We've all been guilty of forecasting what we will be doing. Like, hey I'm going hunting on Friday and so-in-so is going with me. We'll be staying at the lodge and won't be back for three or four days!!

Ever wonder where the old saying .....Lord willing and the creek don't rise, came from? Well, these scriptures helped coin that phrase. My mom always said, "live today like it was the last day of your life". Only God knows about tomorrow and I hope He comes today for you and I, Amen

James 4:13-15 (New King James Version)

Do Not Boast About Tomorrow

13 Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will[a] go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit”; 14 whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. 15 Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.”

Amen to that Benny! We are not promised tomorrow so we should be thankful for every breath the Lord gives us. Sometimes I tend to forget that we are not promised another second in this world. Thanks

Thanks Cool Hand. Good words indeed. We are told to live in the present.

Along with James goes these scriptures "This is the day the Lord has made;let us rejoice and be glad in it." Psalms 118:24

and Matthew 6:34 (paraphrased) "Don't worry about tomorrow for tomorrow has enough worries of its own. Every day has its own troubles."

Amen! And thanks for the reminder. It seems all too often we (I) forget these scriptures. Thanks again.
