Ive ordered a bunch of stuff from OpticsPlanet before. This last order, or attempted order, will be the end of our relationship. Never again will I do any business with them.

I ordered two sets of the Champion Easyhit shotgun sights to help with my left-eye dominance issue. The website showed the items as being in-stock and would ship for free, so I placed my order. I received an email as follows:

When I didn't receive it within a few days I called and they said it was back-ordered, but that they would receive some on July 27th and they would ship then. Today I went to their website and it shows that one was shipped and it would be 1-2 weeks before they got another.

I initiated a Chat with their customer "non-service" agent and informed them that I had not received anything and asking for the status. He informed me that they hadnt shipped my order, that they had one in stock, were waiting to fulfill the order and would only ship the one they had in stock if I paid $6.99 shipping for the $17 item. I told him no, that I wouldn't pay shipping as I was promised free shipping when I purchased the items and that I was told the items were in stock. I feel like giving them 3 weeks without complaining was sufficient patience enough on my part. Anyway, he basically told me to stick it. So I cancelled the order and will not be doing business with them further.

As I've had nothing but stellar service with my several experiences with SWFA, they will be getting all of my business going forward. I encourage all of you to do the same.

I came within a hair of ordering something from them last year but after seeing some reviews about how they handle certin situations (mostly out of stock items) I decided I didnt feel comfortable ordering from them.

I have never ordered from OpticsPlanet, but I have ordered from SWFA and had a good experience.

I got burned so bad by OpticsPlanet, That I won't by any optics out of state again ever! Luckily Skylar on here who works for SWFA told me to give hum a call. He matched OpticsPlanets Deal and Coupon. Can't say enough about SWFA.

Me Too, Last time I got something that was already marked $50 off then used a coupon for another $10, plus free shipping. The item was then mysteriously back-ordered, and they tried to up sale me some other scopes. When I said no I wanted what I ordered, they cancelled the order on me. Bunch of crooks.

I ordered a blackhawk holster from them thru Amazon and after 2 weeks of hearing nothing I emailed them thru Amazon for status. Only answer I received was it would ship sometime in the near future. I canceled and bought it from Midway USA. Placed the order at night and it shipped the next day. I buy a lot from Midway and will continue to give them my business. And opticsplanet will never get another order from me, no matter how low the advertised price is.

yep, wont use them or swfa! Never seen a company that show they have something in stock online, you order it only to get a email later saying they are out! Hoping it got shipped that day and find out its not going to be anytime soon. Not good at all!

Me too.............ordered back in may. Still no leupold boresighter and did a chat for reimbursment and actually got good service this time.We will see if they credit or not soon.

That sucks... I have always had good dealings with opticsplanet but with all this stuff I keep hearing about them I'm expecting something bad to happen to one of my orders...

This is how I recommend dealing with SWFA, I may look on their website to get an idea of what I want to order. But I will call Skylar and order it through him, especially if I want some help or guidence.

Skylar, I didn't know about the free shipping and covering sales tax. Can you post or pm me the info about how this works. I stopped by the shop last week to pick up some Talley lightweights and the guy up front was very helpful and even gave me a small Thf discount. You have my business for life and I recommend you often.

I've only bought one item from OP and had no issue, good or bad.

I've bought 2 scopes from SWFA and had GREAT and VERY FAST service!
