My dad and I just returned from Montana Dave's ranch, and it was an awesome experience. Dave's ranch is full of animal's. There were animal's around almost every corner. Between the two of us we saw plenty of axis deer-bucks and doe's, blackbuck, huge sika, whitetail, huge spanish goats, and one small fallow buck. After the hunt Dave said the animals were coming in slow all weekend! I can't wait to go on a good weekend! I took an axis doe and my dad took the small fallow buck. Both of these deer were our first exotics. The place is nice with oak trees and some cedar. Dave has the place well fed with lots of corn. We hunted from box blinds and tripods in the evening and spot and stalk on the morning hunts. On this hunt both animals were taken on stalks. The accomadations is a typical hunters cabin, but the cabin is nicer than some of the houses I have lived in. It is not a big luxurious lodge, but simple and sufficient. Everything Dave posted about the place is all true and then some. My dad and I haven't had this much fun on a hunt in a long time. Dave is a great guy as a host, and a guide he really knows his stuff. If your looking for a great relaxed hunt I recommend you look in to this place.
