It was nice out today, so I decided to do some grilling!

I had 30 dove in the freezer from last season. Thawed them out. Debreasted, marinated in worcestershire and steak season. Put the meat with cheddar cheese, onion, jalapeno and bacon. Put on the grill and enjoyed. Delicious!

How about sharing that salad recipe, too.

Man! That's a presentation that would make a 5 Star Chef jealous.

Thanks for sharing. That's one of the classics. Some people on this forum don't appreciate the total effort that goes into uploading picture to your computer, and then onto photobucket.

It's a 2 hour effort, and I applaud you. Great pictures!!!

With all due respect you just ruined a bunch of dove and ate peppers and bacon. Texans fry dove and serve them with fries, coleslaw, or salad. Brown gravy and bisquits.

scattergun, I eat them several ways, and this happens to be one way my family and I enjoy them. Get the he!! out of here with that "Texans" do it this way or that. So I am not "Texan" because I grilled my dove this way? What a retarded post. Not everything in this world has to be fried. Besides, most people "fry" when they don't know how to cook otherwise.

This has to be the dumbest, most stereotypical post I've read in the recipes forum.

This Texan doesn't fry a single dove, ever and I've never had a person request it, ever. Yet every september people ask when I'm gonna do a grill day and wrap some dove. I'd say most people eat them the exact way this thread specifies or smothered with gravy.

Not this Texan. Sounds like all you're eating is breading and gravy. rofl

What a J-hole.

Those look delicious, and they are. That's the only way I eat dove. I prefer cream cheese, but chedder is great too! Thanks for sharing the pics, I think I'll thaw out the dove I've been hoarding all winter and grill them up tomorrow!

You Norf Texas boys need to remember your manners! Fuzzy Nutz who pulled the Texan card is a douche! But I refuse to give up my brown gravy. It happens to go back 5 generations right here in Texas - south of I-10!

When i was a kid my mom used to stew them in a smothered brown gravy sauce and man they were delicious! Years later...somebody introduced me to the bacon wrapped, jalapeno and cheese method. I haven't had dove with brown gravy since!

Sprinkle a little Tony's cajun seasoning on there and you got my famous recipe.
