Live weight of a mature gemsbok bull is around 250kg. Scimitar oryx are probably about 20-30% lighter than gemsbok. So would estimate the live weight of a scimbok to be 175-250kg.
If scimbok meat is anything like gemsbok then the meat will be excellent.

That is going to be a lot of tuff GREAT tasting meat!! Gotta be 60-70 lb hams.
Somebody commit to this hunt before I find a good local Taxidermist!!
