Free Range Aoudad- West Texas

Free Range Aoudad- West Texas - 01/22/16 01:16 AM

Its that time of the year! I am now booking our Aoudad hunts for this Fall and Early Next year.
I am based in west Texas and specialize in free range fair chase hunts. We do Guided, Semi Guided, and a few
self guided hunts on select ranches. We operate off of a very strict quota system on each property to keep
success rates high which are well into the 90%+ range on guided and self guided hunts combined.

I have approximately 500,00 acres to hunt on 9+ different ranches all varying in terrain, lodging, accessibility, etc.

The properties you are hunting I have exclusive access to (private land) and do not run back to back hunts. I set them up
for each hunter to have the best opportunity at a mature Ram. Single hunters or groups are welcome and I have lots
of references available on my website along with slideshows and detailed property descriptions to help make
your decision. I keep it updated at least once a week so availability is current.

We do have a high return booking rate so there are limited spots available on each property. When booking you will
deal with me directly so that I can answer any questions you may have in detail.

September for Pre Hut and Start of Rut- But Hot and if not used to it not a good idea.

October- Rut. Good time to hunt but still warm.

Mid January through Mid February into March. After deer season and coldest time of year so you are hunting for sun
rather than shade and easier hiking.

You have several different smaller ranches to hunt there totaling aprox. 5,000 acres. I just had a group out there
that went 4 out of 5 on there rams with the 5th missing several nice ones.

Thanksgiving weekend is opening weekend of Mule Deer season and runs through middle of December.
You would have to book for either before or after mule deer season.

PS. The Van Horn ranch hunts are all booked up.

Cancellation hunt!

March 10th through 13th (this year) for 2 hunters - 4D North ranch.
2x1 Guided with Lodging, you cover your own food.
$2700 Per Hunter

Will consider a 1x1 hunt for 1 hunter.

If your thinking about an Aoudad hunting then Mike is your guy. We hunted the 4d North ranch last Feb. We filled both tags on the first day of the hunt. You will not be disappointed. Just the scenery alone is worth the trip. Heres a video of our hunt. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9JV0XZtHbSg
