I wouldn't say one is gone just yet. A hunt is now booked for weekend of sep 14th. These elk have been hitting water pretty regular right at first and last light. They have been on the ranch for three years and I'm tired of feeding them.

They are hard to hunt. Been there 5 times and have only seen 1. Yes 1. It will not be an easy hunt.

They have improved their pattern a bit.
And we have one lone red deer which we see less than the elk.
