Axis buck from Curtis' place...

One of my clients took a nice Axis at Curtis' place yesterday.....approx 32". They had a great time.

I talked with Curtis on the phone the other night. Very nice guy. Nice animal there. Congrats.

Congrats I live a mile from Curtis and he has very nice animals on his ranch and he will take good cair of anyone that hunts with him.

Thanks for the compliments. This hunter was originally booked for an oryx meat hunt that turned into a hunt chance opportunity for a first time axis hunt. We were actually watching over corn bait 180 yards away in hopse of some scimitar oryx coming out to it. It's so dry the deer and just about anything will come out to corn pretty well. When this buck and 8 other axis came out, we jumped at the chance. This buck maybe ran 40 yards max. We are doing the oryx hunt next week and I got a bow hunter out in the field right now hunting for axis as we speak.

Yeah hopefully they will be able to get their two Oryx next Wednesday....
