Oh, this is nothing. We have about 15000 acres. This is just one group coming to this feeder. There are several groups that hit this one. We have about 15 or so feeders spread out and about 14 or so water holes. There are even more pigs at some of the other spots then at this feeder. Im guessing that if we have 100 pigs at each feeder, and if there is 15 feeders, as well as this is only covering about 1/3 of the land and should be a third of the pigs. By my figures there should be 4500 or so pigs to stick.
If those numbers are not correct well there is still a lot....

Not a problem if you want them. Farmers that lose hundreds of $$$$ in crop damage each night have a problem. If its a hunting lease you have hunting all year laugh

I run catttle on 3 pastures total about 2000 acres and a 950 acre deer lease and all 4 places are infested with pigs, cant kill em fast enough, even with a feeder surrounded by pigs and my AR10 opening up on em dont make a dent, just coyote and buzzard food.

Obviously the word is getting around that you have a class "A" restaurant, serving the best meal around.

Looks like a lot of fun either trapping, or whacking and stacking them.

Re: Do you think I have a hog problem? - 10/29/12 07:35 AM

Well we are going to get the traps going in a couple of days. I went out once last week and killed 14, and out three nights ago and killed 8. There is no way to kill enough to control them without some kind of intervention. Shooting is not enough. I know there is going to be some people chime in and say they are so good with their abilities that they can thin them out. If that was the case there would be no hogs in TX. There are more hunters per acre in TX than anywhere on the planet. We just about all have guns, and have not done anything but increase the hog nubers. Although shooting them may not get them thinned out, it still makes us feel better.....

Wish I could help you get rid of them! Sell day leases for cheap and maybe you can help "thin them out?"

What would be a reasonable price for a day(night) lease for pig hunting?

Re: Do you think I have a hog problem? - 10/30/12 12:25 PM

Depends on how badly you want to get rid of them? If you just want them gone charge a lesser amount? Im not sure exactly what hunts are going for though?
