I hardly see any all black hogs any more. The majority are like this nice fat little sow (came in at 140lbs) that I dropped right at the feeder earlier tonight. Got in the blind at 5:50 waiting for the feeder to go off at 6:30. Hogs have been there like clock work right before dark. Well, at least when I'm not there....
At about 6:15 I hear hogs coming. They stopped short, then came again and walked right through the feeder area without stopping. One little football did look up at the feeder as they went by. Feeder goes off at 6:30, then nothing. They came back right at 7:30 and it was game on.
These Federal 165gr BTSP's are making it hard for me to make the switch the Barnes bullets. They sure do a number on the hogs when I do my part.
Haven't shot a hog in about 6 weeks. Still unemployed, and I feel guilty about going out to enjoy the lease. But that sure felt good tonight. I spent more time taking pics and cleaning it than I did hunting. Gotta love that!
