You long hair guys where do you get them trimmed (petsmart? etc) What do you tell them? Want it short but no skin.

The tail and his Alfalfa sprout on his head the rest can go, he looks pretty ratty right now so I need to get him in. PetSmart is good, there's a new place in town I might try just because it's independent

I bought electric shears to do it myself, but after a couple times using them I gave up. Take the Britt to petsmart. Sheared down to 1/4”. Pick her up 3 hours later. Some vet offices have groomers, and there’s some mobile groomers.

Bought a good set of shears a few years ago. I set up a table and a big shop fan to keep hair blown away, get my wife to help me and we can shave two Brits in about 45 minutes. Take a break and do 2 more or 2 Saturday & 2 Sunday. Has saved tons of grooming charges

this, unless you absolutely don't have the time, do it your self

My one setter stays cut....and he is making a fine gundog. I trim him myself. He's got to where he likes it. If you don't keep em cropped off good they'll be the nastiest stinkiest matted up mess ever......so God made a pointer.

A good friend of mine trimmed his French brit last weekend, and loaned me the shears for me to do my setter, but I haven't done it yet. She's shedding so much right now, I may not need to.

Have an appointment for Fri. They have glass so I can see the trimming. I wouldn't miss it. This boy will give them a test.

The orange one, Lucy looks naked. The black one, Kate, looks like the queen of the ball.

Have an appointment for Tuesday, Mobil dog groomer coming by the house. That way the boss just has to walk him to the curb and not take him in her precious car mad

I swear the little bugger acted like he was getting scratched, let her put him wherever she wanted to and acted darn good. Sure surprised me.

PetSmart, kind of proud of their work but they do a good job. Even got his nails cut and ears cleaned.

Thanks. She’s been getting to sleep in the house since she got her hair cut. She wants to be an inside bird dog.

The last time I used PetSmart it was $75 to trim my mutt, Seriously considering buying some shears
Of course Jack the dog decorated the place with liquidy brown stuff that smelled sick

Dang you're a lot faster than me! It takes me that long to do my one brittany. Her fur is so fine on her chest and shoulders I have to go over it again and again.

BTW, if any of y'all are in Houston, my niece is a groomer for PetsMart. I'm sure she'd love to do some moonlightin' at a discounted rate.

I bought a set of electric shears for pups years ago.
Gave the Brit a buzz yesterday.

God, he loves it.

I trim him up every couple of months while it's hot.
