9 weeks old with a teal.

11 weeks, small birds had her curious.

4 months old, training at the tank.

5 months old, 1st water retrieve. (She hasn't swam yet.)

One week later 1st duck hunt. Last week of the season.

It's long story but my daughter pulled some strings and was able to get a pup.

Ripsnoter Kennels out of Ohio.

Bobby, thanks for the training tips that you have helped me with, I have never trained a pointing dog before and am all ears for any advice on training.

Her retrieving skills are unbelievable for her age and has a nose that is incredible, she's currently tracking a dead duck drag over 300 yards and bringing the duck back to me. I work on whoa every time I feed her and when healing on a leash, I just need to move to the next training level with pointing.

I am taking her to the deer lease Saturday, I have no doubt that she can find quail I just don't know what's going to happen when she finds them. I am just going to let her have some fun.

I am open to any suggestions.

Shoot the quail if you have already shot over her.

What Bill said and what you said. Let her have fun and shoot her a bird. It will be amazing when you see the light go on!
