pics from SD hunt nov.10-16

Here are a few pics from our hunt in Nov., 7 days of very cold and windy weather. Saw tons of pheasants, but they were mostly bundled up in thick cattails, and shelter belts. and hard for us old men to get at. Had some good dog work. I was worried how he would do in the cold and snow for a Tex. raised dog, but it didn't seem to bother him at all and held up great. All and all a unique experience for us and the dog. As far as bird numbers, what we saw they were way up from last year.

Wow. That is a bunch of snow. We were there the same time and had quite a bit less.

Looks like a great hunt. We didn't have near that much snow.

where were you'll hunting stinkbelly? How much snow did you'll get there?

We were around Pierre. I don't know what the official amount of snow was, but it looked like about a foot with drifts up to 2 feet.

No dogs?

I think we had about 6-8 inches but some big drifts. We were about 60 miles south of Pierre.
I have a GSP, he pointed the bird in the gopro but just have to look close. The astro really was a life saver for us in the cattails and shelterbelts, and even in the grasslands.
