N tx hunt am

Odd am. Hunted solo. Had issues w batteries, tangled dekes, shallow water, etc

I couldn't believe the number of shots going off 5 minutes before LST near bonham. Sounded like WWII.

The ducks were so heavily pressured- had 3 groups come in a good 10 minutes before legal. Still almost pitch dark out.

I will take no wind on small wetland over wrong wind anytime. Created some pretty good bubbles in water w usual jerk rig, bubblers, etc.

Had 4 singles decoy- 5 ducks fly over blind. 5 shots, 5 ducks- had to head out by 7:30 to go to work. Shot 2nd hooded merganser in 20 years- wall hanger- nice mallard as well- had a wounded spoonie get away on double

Congrats on the pre-work hunt! I've noticed the same thing every time I hunt out near Bonham on sunny days. I know which operation it usually is, but I won't flame them here. The GW's will get 'em soon enough, there is a giant bullseye on Bonham right now.
