I went yesterday about 30 miles south of Bonham. We saw a lot of ringers and some gadwall and widgeons. I won't be able to go back out til this weekend.

Birds are getting really nervous the last few days, tough to get them to commit today and yesterday, killed 12 today, 2 adults and one kid, still a good hunt. We need another front.
Birds have been real easy to pattern and kill this first part of the season until the last couple of days. We need some new birds.

Had ZERO wind which makes it very hard to finish these wise birds like Mo said

Hunting 25 acre soil conservation lake in Van zandt. Will post results. As I mentioned on my post today- I will take no wind- on tank less 3 acres vs wrong wind/ setup anytime.

I have basically only used feeding mallard call, lonely hen, and 90% whistle.

Lots of splash in water- use 2-3 different devices in spred- pay attn at what ducks in water look like

I've been in Kansas the last few days. Still a lot of birds north of Kansas. We are on them but definitely need a new front to get some fresh birds in here. Hunted in DFW area this past Saturday and we picked out a 3 man limit. But it seemed like birds were pushing back north. All the mallards we were shooting disappeared.

Hit a different lake today with a 13 and 17 year old and my buddy, we smoked a 4 man or girl limit by 9:00.
The birds we hunted today really worked well, just had to move to a less pressured lake.
