Well, my 90 year old dad decided he wanted to join us for Dove hunting this year; his great grand-kids will be having their first hunt and he wants to not only be there, he wants to shoot as well. For the record my dad is in fine health, still drives, still has all his teeth, and just started taking medicine for his high blood pressure this past year. The only medical problems he has had is prostate, like all us old dudes will eventually have. Also, we lost our mother back in December, so no one was going to question whether he could go out into the field or not. Last time he shot was about 15 years ago and his shoulder took some real punishment so I decided to get him a 28 gauge Weatherby Semi (SA-08); dang it's a beautiful gun! Light as a feather and absolutely no kick whatsoever.

My question; what choke do you recommend for this gauge, for whitewing dove?

Use the same choke for the given situation as you would with any other guage. If the white wings are not too high, then IC or Light Modified will work fine. Good luck!

Light Modified is a great all-purpose choke.
