Anybody know anyone who works on mud motors? - 07/28/14 10:18 PM

I was wondering if anyone (around DFW preferably) works on mud motors? my clutch is making a lot of noise and i want to get it checked out before duck season.

I looked on MudBuddy's website but it doesn't list any dealers to speak of, I figure theres gotta be at someone selling/working on them in TX.

I do not know anyone currently working on them locally for hire anyway. Robbie was the north Texas dealer that sold and worked on them but when BassPro and GatorTrax took that away from him I think he stopped working on them, I do not think he is in operation any longer.
If you can not figure it out on your own you may contact BassPro, good luck with that, or Muddyfoot on here, he may be able to steer you in the right direction. Boat DR can help a lot with questions too.

Very good question though.

He lives in Dallas, I don't think you should have posted his number up,without asking him. think his handle is deadbirdo8 or something like that. Theres a place in emory that works on motors I think.

I agree 100%, nobody knows more about these motors or Mudbuddy drives than Gary but I do not think he is for hire.

He is very helpful with information though. Who knows I guess the OP will find out.

Cody may have thought he was for hire since he did some of the work on Cody's motor before Cody bought it from the original owner.

I agree as well (I would delete his number), I have asked Gary same question, and he said Richardson saw and lawnmower mentioned above.

Someone needs to open their own mud motor repair shop in NTX. Your only competition is lawn mower repair shops. popcorn
