Great looking pup, mine is 5 months today. If it were not at the cost of being proven wrong, I would've given up training a 100 times already!

haha... i heard labs get mixed training reviews... were as springers are easy.... wish i could make my English Springer Spaniel a water dog

Be sure and read /research about the food for a pup coming out of heavy parents. IE growing rates for bone developement, hip problems for big heavy labs, etc..It is worth the effort!

Labs a great! Just remember they will make look like a dog training guru and then have a complete brain fart/melt down. You be standing there wondering how somebody switched dogs on you. I found in the long run slow and steady training is best. I make mine think she wants to do everything I want her to be doing. Rarely force any behavioral modifications. We have to trust each other to work as a team.

Goose wings don't fly far when there not attached to a goose...or something heavy.

We've got a black lab that's almost a year old! Best dog I've ever owned... Nothing beats having him hunt with us. Congrats!
