33 years of Hunting Ducks on the Red River. New Season. New Boat. Same good time as always.

That's great Rob, congrats, you're an inspiration to us all. This will be my 10th season. Went on my first duck hunt 2003, and was hooked day 1. Seems like yesterday. Good luck this season.

AWESOME Rob. I'm starting my 17th season next weekend. Can't wait for it, and glad others are continuing the legacy, and hope they do for many more years.

My 56th will start next weekend, the good Lord willing. Even though my Cappy boy couldn't hunt with me the last two because of health issues, now that he's gone I miss him even more ferociously.

It was a classic teal hunt. Hundreds of birds in and out of the decoys before shooting time. At shooting time I picked out one bird from the first five flocks that came in. First bird was the greenwing. Then a bluewing. Flocks of about 10 to 30 birds. Missed one bird with the first shot. Then took the last bluewing. Total time. 15 minutes.

Great looking hunt there Rob. You got 1 yr on me. By chance you remember the winter/duck season of 82? I think it stayed below freezing for 30+ days straight. One of my most enjoyable waterfowl seasons ever.

Yes I remember that season. 1983/84 I was hunting east of Willis bridge on lake Texoma.
Everything west of there was froze solid.

My 18th year this year. Gonna be sweet. Got me fired up rob.

This will be my second season, first full season, and first Teal season. I'm looking forward to it and many more.

In all the years Ive hunted I have never hunted on a Sunday.

I've been hunting waterfowl with my dad since I was 9 and I'm 37 now. God willing I've got plenty more years left in this "old" body!!

Both my job and my hobby take up so much time. I set aside a Day to honor My Creator and spend with My Family.

I can respect that. I do thank God. I thank him because he sent me a woman that loves to hunt. Although a pain in the arse like all woman, she loves to just go somewhere. She likes cruises, fishing, hunting or just plain driving down the road. I set her up on a deer hunt once. A deer was standing there and she had the crosshairs on it. She set the rifle aside. I looked at her and she just said I don't want to kill it, I just want to watch it. I am kewl with that. Now so far as ducks she will whack the crap out of them. Water swat or air swat she doesn't give a rats hiney. She is at church right now. I am home getting ready for the opener. I consider myself a Godly man, however I am not into going to a church. It is jjust not my thing. The woods is where I find my maker and thank him.

Everyone has their own way. I'm sure the ducks are glad Rob takes a day off.

Nothing wrong with that strategy. Surprised a few hunting partners when I informed them I could not hunt on Sunday. Not to say I've never hunted on Sunday but rarely.

Took a guy out yesterday and had a couple nice flock come down the river and had one of about 50+ swing through the decoys...

It made the morning!

Congrats. Kinda iffy for me to see 33 waterfowl seasons since I didn't start until I was in my late 30's but I sure hope to.
