Ducks - 08/24/12 02:09 PM
I am absolutely completely 100% not motivated at work. Everytime I think about work my brain wonders to the duck blind. Busting a cap on a duck at 7 years old has destroyed any kind of possibility at a productive life. Unless that production involves building duck ponds, building a cabin near a duck pond, planting a duck pond ect. Come on duck season!
I think I daydream more than I dream while asleep.

Right there with you. Between daydreaming about hunting, THF and google earth it is a wonder I get anything done.

I never stopped thinking about ducks this year, I just worked on decoys all off season.
Until about a week ago, though, my moods were pretty level. This last week, I've got duck fever, BAD.

Try shooting clays regularly, and watch plenty of duck dynasty! That show helps me

I'm getting the fever bad too. My wife thinks something's wrong with me every time we drive past any piece of standing water or pond or lake I slow down and start looking for ducks. My two-year old daughter has started doing it too and she yells "Duckies! Bang Bang." when we see some. She'll be fun to take to the blind hopefully next year.

Oh God. I had a buddy do that. I never wanted to throat punch someone so bad in my life.
I just don't understand why the guys on my lease don't want to get out there this weekend and work on the big duck blinds.
Teal spot is going to be separate this year due to late planting of the millet. Can't argue with rice for teal though. :-)
Hello, my name is Larry and it's been 208 days, 6 hours, and 21 minutes since my last dead duck.

I have a feeling you are going to fall of the duck wagon and have to give up your coin.
It's a matter of time, brother...

Some day, modern medicine will recognize duck hunting as a psychiatric condition. I'll tell Nurse Ratched to keep beds open for us.
Now my wife REALLY thinks I have a problem.
She caught me singing "It's the most wonderful time of the year. There'll be mallards and wood ducks and pintails and wigeon and cinnamon teeeeeaaaaallll. It's the most wonderful time of the year."
Needless to say, my favorite song. I told her duck hunting is the only other woman and that's our song. ;-)
