First time - 05/21/12 03:06 AM

This season will be my first guided hunt that I am conducting by myself. I will be taking 4 guys on two days of hunting. The hunts were auctioned off for a fundraiser (which we raised a lot of money for a very young boy) so I figured this would be a good chance to see whether or not I want to do this thing full time or not. I hope all goes well and I hope whoever the gentleman that donated money for this fundraiser are beyond thrilled like I am. I will be sure to post some pictures for you guys and let yall know how everything went.

Is this for "teal season" or "big ducks"

Either way it's a long time to get your ehm...ducks in a row

Thanks guys and Matt its big ducks and black I know I have what it takes just whether or not I want to take people hunting instead of doing the hunting if that makes since. The long hours of scouting and little sleep already happen during the season but its done for me.

Good luck with your new adventure with your positive attitude you should do well..As far as not hunting while your guiding. I haven’t shot a duck in 9 years while guiding a hunt..I can’t say I don’t go holy smokes when someone misses a bird CLOSE but I love working the birds and watching the birds work into decoys for others..I save some hunts out for family and hunt then..If your not guiding teal season hunt all you can to make up for it..Also I believe you can learn something new from everyone..You never can learn all there is to know about this craft…

All I can say is I'm deeply disappointed at this thread after reading the title and clicking with excitement...

Good luck on your guiding!

Isn't there a license required to guide people while using a boat?
