Can you waterfowl on Cedar Creek lake?? - 11/29/10 01:55 AM

Is it legal to hunt this lake and if so is it the whole lake or just a section? Thanks in advance, happy hunting !!!

I just throw dekes at the end of the boat docks in the back of Caney and go to town! Surprised you haven't heard me out there.

Contact the water authority and they can tell you any particulars that might be needed to hunt any lake.

You probably won't get much help other than that naming a lake.

Good luck.

Here is my 2 cents...GW's have important issues to be dealing with not can I hunt this lake/that lake.

Here is the number: (903) 432-2814

I called several in the off season getting ready for this season and every one of them was knowledgeable and very helpful.

We have a sticky link in our land and leases forum as a resource for THF members to help with finding public hunting areas.

The link you are wanting is the Tarrant Water Control District.

And yes you can hunt there, but you will need to check with them for the most current details.

Since then the pressure has been so bad it isn't even worth the effort - waaay too close to Dallas. I haven't been out there in 4 years, but I can't imagine it has gotten any better.

Just a reminder before any post replys go too far over the line.

Let's try and keep it cool in here this season. Hunters need to stick together and not squabble over things like some guy that is new to forums and broke the almighty "don't name the lake" rule. Rather than hazing the newcomers, let's try being a little more friendly.

There was a little too much tension in here last season. The THF veterans can set the tone. Let's share our successes and try to educate each other without all the fussing. There's no reason to analyze why a person posts a photo. If you are proud of a good day on the water, you should be able to share a photo with the group here without being harassed.

We want our grand kids and their grand kids to be able to enjoy hunting and hunters need to stick together to make sure opportunities will be open to the generations that follow.

North and just south of 175. Both arms. Big island is off limits on the west arm.
