Vintage Duck Hunting, days of the Market Hunter - 08/07/10 08:09 PM

Folks,

Take a look at a video I put together and let me know what you think.

I downloaded some vintage photos courtesy of the University of Illinois, found some audio of the era. Added a song called "How Long has this been Going on", for two reasons really,
1. As an exclamation of OMG how long have I been missing this wonderful sport to,
2. The dis-belief I am sure our fore-fathers felt when they realized that waterfowl were NOT an endless resource and that we better change our ways and FAST or there wont be anymore waterfowl for our children and their children to enjoy.

Critiques are welcome and, I hope you enjoy.

Looks pretty good. I can't believe there used to be a 50 bird limit.

I know, and that was the FIRST limit ever put on them, I can't believe before that, you just shot till ya run out of bullets and went to the house. Rented a tractor trailer and went back to get your ducks!

I went to Maryland last year to hunt and went up to Haver de Grace to the decoy museum. It was full of old Market hunter pics and decoys. A must see for any waterfowler!
