A lowly add ONE from San Saba Sunday night. He was bigger than the hogs I've been getting routinely over the last year or so, I'm guessing 190 for this one. He may have been even bigger, but I didn't think I'd be breaking any records or anything for this property so I just dragged the stinkin SOB to the same place the rest of them go.
He was the only live hog I saw on the property over three days and nights, which is very unusual. It turns out there is a large dog frequenting the ranch, and we found evidence that this dog is hunting the property himself. The evidence was a dead hog the next morning very near where I killed the one in the photo. A hog killin dog is not an undesirable thing, but we don't know that he won't kill cattle too and we don't want him effing up our hog hunting. We'll deal with that one way or another.
