A good start to the morning - 07/04/20 01:11 PM
Got up, started the coffee maker, and went to the front window to see if the deer were under the yard feeder. No, but a mud encrusted hog was helping himself. Grabbed the 223, snuck out the back door and parked a 65 gr Gameking in his ear. To misquote Robert Duvall (I think it was him), I love the smell of gunpowder in the morning...
Now, some coffee.

I thought he said that in the movie with Clint Eastwood, hunting Chaves, might be wrong

It was a Vietnam movie with Martin Sheen. the name slips my mind this morning. Only half a cup of coffee down so far. APOCALYPSE NOW! Good ole coffee.

Great, bizarre movie. Screenplay modernization/adaptation of Heart of Darkness by Conrad.
Well done on the hog! Only thing I've trapped this trip is a WT doe. She was mighty upset. Headed out to check traps with son-in-law and grandson now.

She was asleep. Waking her up with a gunshot blast seemed like a pretty bad idea.
I got two more the next afternoon. This beats sitting in a hot blind.
