I don't hunt over corn, and if you have the same piece of land to hunt every year it is fun to gradually figure out the property and where to set up taking the prevailing wind into account. I'm also a brown its down hunter who wants a couple of deer a season for venison. I will say if I happened to see two bucks together, I'd let the larger one pass unless it was my all-time best. With that in mind, here's two I took near Boerne, off my sister's place:
Both of these were shot at about 40 yards with a .300 WM 150 grain downloaded to 2650 fps. The doe was almost facing me and dropped on the spot but was struggling to get up, so I gave her a second shot. The little buck ran 30 yards after a perfect behind-the-shoulder shot.
