I put out sweet feed last week at three of my feeders. I dumped it on the ground. The hogs love it. Last night was the first time I saw a doe eat it. She might have only been eating the corn out of it, but I wont know until this evening. If i see that the deer like it, I will put it in feeding troughs about a ft high and stake them to the ground. The doe was eating it before the feeder went off, after the feeder went off and when she finally came back, she went straight to the sweet feed. I will always feed corn, sweet feed will just be an extra snack every once in a while. If they dont eat it right away, just like anything else different, wait a while or wait until after season to start it. When I first put it out I watched a young 8 walk up to the feeder sniffing. He smelled something he didnt like and left. it might have been my scent from dumping the stuff out, but it might not have. I should have waited til after season to start it. Good luck
