Deer hit on 380 close to Princeton - 11/14/09 01:52 AM
My buddy from work's wife saw a 6 point get knocked in the air by a car that never stopped the other morning on 380 near Princeton on her way to work. She said she saw it freaking out on the highway right before it got hit. It landed in a ditch and she and a couple other folks went over to check on it and of course it didn't live. I never found out if anyone called a game warden or anything. Collin County deer.....

I believe it.. There are numerous deer that travel along that area, especially closer to lake lavon.. I used to live close to princeton and there was numerous deer sightings from 380. There are probably some monsters out there since collin county does not have a season..

I've seen some nice deer in Collin County, but west of highway 75 in the Melissa, Anna, and Weston area. I've seen 3 different rubs and scrapes in the last 2 weeks while coyote hunting. I heard a story, a couple of weeks ago, of someone hitting one on 380 in front of Ag Power. These deer are getting sighted more and more every year. I wonder if there will ever be a season on them?

I was driving down Monte Carlo in Princeton toward 380 that day and that buck was running parallel to my car. I knew it was coming but he was not turning. He ran right out into 380 and a car hit him and I bet he went 10-15 ft in the air. He was a big bodied deer. Not sure on the point count, but at least 8 point. 3 more have been hit on 380 this week alone right down close to the bridges between Princeton and Farmersville. 2 bucks and a doe.
