Using Corn Super sacks - 03/07/24 04:33 PM

Wanting to switch to super sacks instead of buying 50lb bags, for those of yall using them how to yall fill your feeder with them? Rancher doesn’t want us bringing our tractor to lift em and fill looking for alternatives thanks.

there was a thread on here a while back where someone built a corn transfer using a leaf blower, trash can and large PVC pipe ... not having any luck finding that thread ... maybe someone has a link to it?

How much are you saving by buying in bulk instead of 50lb sacks?

Seems to be about a 25% cost savings per pound.

That might be worth the hassle of handling such a big sack of corn. But you would have to find an easy way for me to
move it from the back of my truck into the feeders. How much does each sack weigh?

He drives a tractor all over it. It is a dumb rule but not his property his rules. He says a 2,000 lb sack in the air is a safety hazard he doesn’t want on his property.

2,000lb sacks. We are looking at being able to just pick them up on a trailer and now using a vacuum grain transfer system. No lifting involved as we can get the trailer to each feeder easy enough.

But having strangers on you place with or without mixed drinks while hunting with firearms isn’t? I’m not sure of any inexpensive way to do so. There are the auger and or blower rigs.
