I'd like to send you some of my excess, we are over 10" for the month, 4.13 today! They removed drought classification from the entire state of Minnesota for the first time in about 10 years.

Picked up a little over an inch overnight/this morning. Hopefully we'll get some more this evening. We had a very rough spring, but it's better late than never.

Re: South Texas rain - 06/21/14 08:55 PM

Picked up another 1.5 inches last night. Extended forecast calls for a significant chance for rain (no less than 20%) for each of the next ten days. Feast or famine! Can't wait to see how green it is next time I'm out there.

Re: South Texas rain - 06/25/14 06:26 PM

As of 6-23 till this morning I have had .54" at the house on southwest corner and 1.10" on the northeast side. Across the fence to the east they have had quite a bit more since most showers are skirting to my east for the past 4 days.

Have only had a trace since this post. Glad some others are reaping the benefits. We still have a chance for more over the next few days, but they have dropped to 20%. Storms still firing up over Mexico so I remain hopeful for more.

Re: South Texas rain - 06/27/14 11:38 AM

Yes in pockets. Northern Live Oak has had 3-4" this week. My cousin was in GW on Monday or Tuesday and it rained an 1" was he was checking cattle. Said it rained very hard on his trip back home thru GW then to Three Rivers to northern Live Oak county. He has had some rains before that and after that.

My dad used to tell folks he was paying the preacher plenty, the preacher just wasn't spending it right. Sounds like yours has good spending habits.
