I am somewhat new to the ageing game. I am thinking this guy is probably not going to get much better, interested in opinions.

So the general consensus seems to be give him a couple of years ...thanks for the feedback, all, confirms my thinking. He is showing up most days during the daytime, I expect that he will cross paths with a Montec G5 in the near future.

Are you sure? What was he last year? What does the rest of the herd look like? Do you feed protein? How many doe do you have? What does your age structure look like?

Yep, shot a five pointer (one brow tine wasn't there) like that last year about a year younger for the same reason. First year on the lease with a bunch of good bucks. Doing it over, I would have had my son shoot him, but he fell in my lap one day, and it was hard to pass up. He has a younger brother, unfortunately.
