I went to an area where nobody hunts and found a line of ground scrapes and stuck a camera on one. Didn't get pictures of any shooters yet but here's what I got.
Yes they are. That's an old road that we have not used in years. When I was out there mowing at the beginning of September I made one pass down it with the mower and saw the scrapes. I have a spot picked out for a tripod where I can see about 100 yard stretch of the road all the way to where the camera is. Just waiting to see something on camera to motivate me to do it. ;-)
That last one has the age. Kind of looks like the one I shot last year. Keep the cam and corn there when they start roaming a lot and no telling what might show up.
I always try to keep it away from there scrapes a little ways, but that's usually how I end up getting pics of the deer that aren't regulars on the feeders.
last one looks like a shooter to me...What county?
Rusk County. The deer in the last pic is old enough, just not what I'm looking for. He looked the same last year and we thought he would blow up if given another year but he changed very little.
