paint it white or put a little roof over it to keep it in the shade

You might want to put a couple of drain holes in the bottom plate just in case it is not setting level. Good looking set up by the way.

I had planned for the barrel to be on the ground and filled with water at an inside corner of my feeder pen. The camera will be chained to two feeder pen panels (16 foot hog panel framed in one inch square tubing). The drain holes and white paint will be incorporated before I call it done. I don't expect any theft problems but adding a little deterrent could not hurt. I appreciate all of the comments.

Nicely done
Glad I haven't had any issues with people taking my cameras.

That looks great!
That is a lot of work!!
I just used to pan head screws through the back of the camera box into a 48" 2x4. A couple pieces of bailing wire to the corner of the feeder pen.

Very nice. Looks like you could easily mount your enclosure to the top of the feed pen or elsewhere if you wanted too. Good idea.

I built a very similar kinda box for our cameras, I put it together out of 1/8th inch plate, has lock hasp and solar pannel on top too. Problem is if you ever change design of the camera then not all the openings line up right. Also I planted mine on a 2 3/8's piece of pipe cemented in the grond, it is permanent, and I have had a few people try to run it over.
It does keep a camer a safe though.

I would think that now a thief would want it worse. Sweet set up.

You need to go back and put some duct tape on it.

very nice especially if you need to secure the camera - if you don't then we found some awesome camera mounts that cost around $20 each and are very simple but work great - can adjust height of camera, direction, etc. and they just stake into the ground - Bass Pro carries them as does Academy - they have saved us lots of time and effort

Very nice. Here is what I did...bought a $12 shutoff box from lowes and added a $3 pipe clamp to the back. Had to use a dremel tool to cut out the front a bit. The liquidtite side fittings are for my cell antenna and battery power cables. No more squirrel or coon problems.
