Acorn Rage & Greens n Rage. Tried em, never will again. The only thing that has not scared them off is Buck Grub mixed with corn out of spin feeder. They still seemed to eat the corn though not noticeably more than before.
I did a test with one of the crushed beet products, Acorn Rage and some other 'deer attractant'. I had two feeder pens in separate counties. I put them in piles in a triangle pattern that were consistent between the two pens. Had feeders going in each pen. Checked my cameras 1 week later and found that no deer were in any of the pictures and neither herd of coons I had visiting my feeders liked them either. Not a fan!
Where our ranch is there is a lot of acorns, vie used the acorn rage and they love it vie had game cam pics of a 140" 10 point with it half way up his face I'm a fan of it for sure. I doubt it would be worth a flip in south tx though. Just have to work your area and natural food sources
A lot of it depends on your area and deer. Acorn and Greens n-raged seem to produce good results for me. Either I mix it in a bag with corn and put out small piles, or I add some to the feeder. I think the trick is to introduce the attractant PRIOR to hunting season. Once the deer get a taste, they'll come back for more.
Last year I tried the new Sugar Beet Crush. That stuff brought deer in like crazy! My wife and I shot two nice 8pts. Each had the red powder all over their faces.
Never had any luck with "3-Day Harvest" or peanut butter though. These scare my deer away. Not sure why.
Nothing beats corn, but think about this. there are probably 50 feeders within 5000 yards or you. All of them have corn. Mine has "flavored" corn. And I always get bigger bucks than the other 6 people on my lease. Same at my lease in Thrifty TX and same at my lease in Arkansas. I'm not a better hunter. I've got the feeder spinning what the deer want.
PS. STABILIZED rice bran is the main ingredient is almost all attractant powders (and the only real ingredient in Buck Grub). Get a 50lb bag at Tractor Supply, add some corn meal and brown sugar (brown sugar is regular white sugar with added molasses...google it). Mix these three together and you'll see deer you didn't know you had. I just put mine out two weekends ago and pulled the camera last Saturday. It took 5 days for the bucks to show up. They haven't started jumping into the feeder pen yet, but they are definately checking it out. You can see where I poured it on the ground. The bucks are standing all around it.
It is probably against the law to mix them. It gives the hunter too much of an advantage.
That's not the reasoning. Most hunters simply don't have the commercial drivers license needed to drive an 18-wheeler to their lease to transport the number of 200-class bucks they'll take if they use the aforementioned.
Don't know the validity of it, but I heard that ivory dust from mature elephants brings in the 200 class bucks like no other. Even in East Texas! Been using it for years in Georgia and Florida with excellent results!
It contains protein, minerals. this stuff works great. we used it last year and had great success. Put it out just before bow season and the deer start coming in.

They do the same with corn... or protein... or food plots etc.
There is no majic attractant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But it has to be dusted over Oak leaves and then those big bucks will climb the trees to get to it.
