Who has their feeders throwing ?

I have mine just at 3 seconds 1 time a day. (morning)

we have allways kept ours running 365 days a year inside the HF and outside, but we do cut back to about 3-5 seconds AM and PM feedings during may till mid to end of september.

Run spin feeders year round. Also have free choice gravity protien feeders going from February thru September every year. I also have a couple of feeders with corn and golden nugget mix. These are in hog proof pens as with the protien feeders.

I feed year round except 10 days prior to deer season per Missouri rules. As soon as I have 2 doe in the freezer I start it up again.Evey other fill I mix about 1/3 protien pellets too 2/3 corn unless the neighbor on the back side plants soy beans then I feed beans he lets me clean up off the ground. When feedin beans I mix 1/4 pellets 3/4 beans every other fill. spins morning and night for 4 sec.

I have mine going 3 sec in the morning in the offseason until sept and then twice a day!!!

i usually keep one throwing for hogs and a stray axis but haven't been able to get down there.

In panhandle we feed from July to February, here I feed the same, but I have a feeder behind the house that I keep going all year so we can watch the antler growth and watch for the first fawns of the year.

Year yound just slow them down Feb-July. Seconds you throw is in direct relation to how far your spin plate is from your funnel.

We keep the feeders in the center of the ranch running year round. Those nearer the edges get shut down from Feb thru Sep.

Ours should get turned on in the next cpl days.

I feed 365.. Right now I'm feeding 2 seconds twice a day. I will increase the feed times to 6-8 seconds once deer show more activity at my feeders.

Year round corn, Feb - Oct Protein.

Year-round 3 seconds. Costs money but has kept deer close.

Just put one out yesterday. I feed from June till Janurary. I have it set to throw 3 seconds just in the evening. Although its just for hog hunting right now, come September I'll put out my big feeder and try and get the deer coming in.

Protein feeders only now. Started in mid January and will run them through September and then start corn.

Protein free choice year round and corn from spinners late Aug till around March or whenever they run out.

I don't hunt deer but rest of family does.
I harvest lots of feral hogs by being around when they go off but slack off the piggies as it gets nearer to deer season.

Corn feeders throw year round, more during the season than off season, plug the road feeder before and during season.

Run mine year round twice a day at 6 seconds each feeding. I figure as long as they keep eating it, I will keep throwing it.

I have a couple going for feral hogs, but with all the groceries in South Central Oklahoma, the deer aren't touching the feeders. Tearing up the soybean food plots though!

I run mine year round. Starting in March or April I cut back to a little over 1 pound of corn per throw twice a day.

One of my feeders tosses this much in 3 seconds. The other takes about 8. It depends on the distance the thrower is from the bottom of the barrel & the timer motor.

Same here. This our first year on a lease outside of Dickens and time has not been friendly to us so we haven't been able to get anything out except for corn feeders. We will add something with the corn late August/early September and will start with the protein as soon as we can year 'round.

I went out today to find that one of my feeders, 500 pounder, had been blown over by high winds and there was not a kernel of corn anywhere to be found. I also found at my other spot that a large tree, which was the base for my big ladder stand, had snapped about five feet above ground and my stand had fell victim to this as well.

But trail camera did show that I have a couple of bucks and does coming to feeder, as well as a bunch of pigs.

We shut the feeders off the week after season (jan.15th) here. And turn them back on as soon as sheds start dropping.

Protein year round corn for about 6 months

I filled my feeder 2 weeks ago with corn and Record Rack Golden Nuggets. I am just throwing for 3 seconds in the morning and thats all.

Got the feeders going Memorial Day weekend feeding twice a day. once in the am and once in the afternoon for 3 seconds as well. Just got pics Friday, so far so good. I'm gonna need to adjust the pic times and get a bigger SD card have quite a few pics.

Protein feeders since year end, and spin corn feeders year around. Corn feeders are ussually 3 seconds once a day until season gets close then we crank em' up!

Got the feeder going 4 weeks ago. Got messed up but it will be throwing again tomorrow!!!

Throw year round. Don't throw much when it's as green as it is but I still throw.

365 days year. We feed once in the moring and twice in the evening. 8 and 8:20, keeps the oinkers coming in.

I have 6 corn feeders and 3 protein feeders on a section. Is there any logic behind shutting off the corn and "forcing" the deer to eat protein during the off-season?

Always keep mine going for deer and pigs
And put bird seed in a hanging one for the quail

365 at least once a day a in October I change to 2 throws a day
