Deer lease price

We are looking for a new lease and it seems like they are going for much higher now days. What do all y'all pay per year for a lease now?

Where are you hunting at because that is about the same prices that we are looking at.

Pretty good prices listed so far. I'll add to this post. Where did y'all find your leases? I'm guessing friends/family will be most common. I'm window shopping now, but all I seem to turn up is middle-men and "lease managers" looking to make a buck and cranking up the price.

Friend/family on all of ours

$4900 per gun last year. next year will be a combination of some money and helping with some guiding.

Word of mouth. You got to talk to a lot of people and ask them to pass any info that they might come across. The middle men are the ones that advertise because they got to make a $$$.

South Texas 1 Trophy 1 Cull 3 does all protein paid and corn. Nice house we also have MLD so any other deer that need to go we do that as well.

3K last year (Panhandle), looking for a lease this year. Would gladly pay that again for the right place.

Always paid less than $1500, but don't have a lot of wall hangers to show for it either!

5K/gun? Dang, 10% of my salary on a deer lease. I'd have to move in.

West Texas is running about 10 an acre in Archer Baylor Foard Hardeman Counties

it's not fun to write that check, but what used to be a lot less fun was paying $1500 or $2000.. paying for corn, paying for gas, spending weekend after weekend in the blind, and rarely seeing anything worthwhile to shoot.

1) 3,500 per gun in S. Tejas
2) Knew the folks who got off the lease and then I eventually got on when a member left which opened a spot.

$600 Hill Country. Strict no visitors rule. Old house with electricity no running water. Found it through a family member.

900 south texas

May have a place south of Rocksprings at $10/acre year round or $7/acre Whitetail season only. Still working on details but that seems to be about the same as the others are listing.

$550 -gun for our deer lease, friend of the family owns the property.(really a hog lease with a few deer) We have 5 hunters, we have pulled 5 deer of it in 3 years.Riverbottoms near Corsicana.

1 lease in West Texas - $4 per acre

The last three seasons have gone $2700 - nice place, killed a great management 8 point. $1500 - not as many management deer, wife shot her first buck so worth it. That was two years in Lampasas. Found the place by placing add in Texas Trophy Hunter Assoc Mag. This yr $1850 - friend found it through some friends and got me on this yr. Shot my biggest buck ever and hunted hard the whole season to do it. Very best accomidations I've had, price includes electric, gas(heating and hot water), proteing(9k #'s), 10-15 tons of corn. 20 members on around 2400 acres. No guests on opening weekends or the close of deer season weekend. 1-1 guest / member only. Wife and child does not count, but no wife plus guest or kids plus guest. All deer harvested by non-member count against your alotment.

Wow I must be getting off cheap. I only pay $250.00 a year. Its East Texas free range, but I always seem to see deer.

Aybody ever hunted 40 miles or so nw of altus Oklahoma,near Mangum oklahoma,lots of farmland with some interesting breaks and coulees around the edges,A friend has 1500 acres there,only a 2 week season(unless you shoot BP or B and A)looked promising but didnt see any stands or anything,probably low density area,any thoughts?I know there are some great Deer near Wellington on Texas side,place is probably 30 40 miles from Shamrock Texas.
