I'm kinda confused on what you stand for?

Maybe I missed the point, not sure? Maybe I should've read more? I tried.

My take is, they are an alternative to all the trophy deer hunting "stuff" out there.

Thanks to kyle, he posted the site that has their mission statement:

"If you are a hunter who thinks that air-conditioned blinds, pedigreed bucks, $20+ an acre leases, and shooting from a high rack Suburban are NOT requirements for a true hunting experience, then TCHA is for you. We believe that a true trophy is not defined by a deer's antlers, but by the entire hunting experience that comes with being in the great outdoors."

WOW. I didn't know that. Couldn't that be illegal? You know, some kind of infringement rights or something?

given the fact that products are being sold.... possibly?

perhaps it's a "first idea/conception" issue.

at any rate.... just thought I'd stir the pot a little.... as usual

A lot of people have forgot that this is the way it should be, and how it was when I was introduced to hunting.

Re: Texas Cull Hunters Association - 07/21/10 04:24 PM

The tcha I am on is about hunting, not knocking the a/c blinds and big deer but just enjoy the hunt not cost aspect of hunting.A cull is a trophy to someone and they eat just fine to us! Sure I would hunt high end deer if I could afford it but have had great times hunting and not bringing deer home also...couldn't find the trophy cull! LOL

Re: Texas Cull Hunters Association - 07/21/10 06:34 PM

Gentlemen : Maybe I can clear up some of the understandable confusion. I am Jeff Jeter and I am the President of the Texas Cull Hunters Association, the .com one. Many years ago we started with a hand full of guys just trying to find a way to hunt that we could afford.

A weekend of labor in trade for a weekend of hunting was a good idea at the time and
still is. After some time, we decided this could help more people if we got organized. So
that’s what we did. In mid 2007 I was toying with names for our group. Since our drive
to hunt is all about the meat I decided that the opposite of TTHA would work
well so Texas Cull Hunters Association was born.

After extensive searches in mid 2009 on all available media including facebook. There
were 0 references to those four words. A total blank slate if you will. At that time I
bought the rights to the corresponding .coms, got a dba of the same name and started a
verbal promotion all over the north of Houston, and all of a sudden ( 6 months later) the
other guy got his .org.

Now, I am not saying he stole my idea, it is I guess possibly a coincidence????? At this
time, we are not pursuing any action against the .org, as we feel they are no threat to our
organization. As best as I can tell, all they are doing is trying to sell y’all shirts and
stickers. And talk down on trophy hunters?

We love the trophy hunters, they leave all the good meat in the woods for us!
We are also getting hard working Texans (Knees in the Trees) and training the youth of Texas Gun safety-,Hunting etiquette and work ethic. We are working on a disabled veterans assistance program. And much more to come.

Thanks for your time Jeff Jeter

P.S. Let me make this perfectly clear I have NEVER copied ANYTHING from ANYONE EVER!!!!!!!! I am not that cut of wood!

Re: Texas Cull Hunters Association - 07/23/10 12:37 AM

Last place I hunted there was a forty acre tract and the guys there said they only shot culls.

Seems like every deer that jumped into their place was a cull!
