I'de ask the locals and see if they can give you any advice about whether or not it is worth it. Seems they always have memberships available, which tells me either something about the place (or the guy that runs it) isn't quite right. In the area now you also have to worry about oil/gas traffic (<---- good question to ask), but in the general area I imagine there are far better places to hunt w/ less members (and recreational memberships that equate to ppl tearing things up and seeing where stands/feeders/cameras are located) for similar $.

I went and looked at the lease 3 years ago. It was a 5.5 hour drive for me and I did not like the set up once I got there. Seemed like too many people with a lot of clear cut land. good luck with whatever you choose.

I was a member these people really don't have any control. The gates were always open. The lady Susan was trying to sale an other members stand, feeders and cameras. And he was still a member. They give you a distance of 300 yards between hunter's so all the hunters pile up. Stuff is always getting stolen .They don't do any up grades and they want everything donated. This past year all of the rv's got broken into. They call it a family lease but I would never take my wife because one day we found a bra and used condoms at the camp. I wound never go back if it was the last lease in texas

In my opininon and experience, hunting + clubs = misery. Too many members, too many rules. I understand it's cheap, but if you hunt alot and work at it, clubs are not the way to go. If your a once or twice a weekend hunter looking to fill your freezer and drink beer with your buddies, then clubs might be your cup of tea.

I have hunted with them and love it. At first I was worried about too many hunters, but the truth is, I only saw one other hunter on my part of the lease all hunting season. If you get on early and set up, no issue with other hunters. Most guys are very nice and respectful.

Very unorganized .they try to operate like a 1st class operation ,but so far from it.the Witt"s are very unprofessional .its a so called family lease .on one occasion I showed up on may 2012 and found a "Bra"in the middle of camp site.im sure glad I did not arrive with my wife and kids.later we found out it belonged to the camp "meth addict".i would never return nor do I recommend "buck daddys "hunting club. If you still decide to still join good luck .but I have done my part to warn others .best of luck and all your hunting trips be good memories .

not my experience with buckdaddys at all, its actually pretty good. ive only talked to the lady but they are good people and run a good club. they enforce the rules, seen it first hand, and i've never seen a meth addict in the club. knowing them i don't think they would let drug people on their club either because the bylaws dont allow it or break their own rules. kind of like the gun reform laws - blame the gun mfr's or blame the criminals who make dumb choices? sounds to me like someone is tryign to make trouble for them. Buckdaddys is a good club.
