Beating The Heat

Beating The Heat - 08/20/23 04:26 PM

Wife and I spent a few days in Colorado. Saw Mule Deer, Elk and a Bear, also had a Bear on the back deck the last night we were there. Couldn't get a pic of the Elk (too far away) the Bear was running, so no pic. And no pics of the biggest Mule Deer bucks, they were either too far away or disappeared into the forest. Biggest buck was around 180" and very wide, couple others in the 160"-170" range.

I should have carried my fishing gear, folks were doing real well on the trout...next time. House was at 8750' elevation, we went off main road some and made it to over 11,000'. Not crowded at all, guess school starting had a lot to do with that. Nice vacation before the onslaught of Dove season.

How many of y'all have been here? Met the owner, he's from Springtown, and has family in Eastland and Breckenridge. And I know his cousin. Small world. [Linked Image]
