End result to the beginning. Had the brisket cut into quarters since it’s just the two of us. Smokes one today. He didn’t die in vain. Damn tasty.

We are about 1/2 way thru "Ribeye" and I'm watching a couple of other promising prospects in my herd right now to replace him...

At what weight are you penning them and how long are you feeding them out?

I bring them to the feeder pen at around 800 pounds. Feed them out to about 1100-1200 for 90-120 days on a mixture of Steak Maker (mixture of different types of feed/minerals balanced to put quality meat on them), cracked corn, leaf of hay a day and all the fresh water he wants. If you want big t-bones you have to get them a little bigger.

Unusual Black Angus that is not polled. What cross to get the horns? Good looking animal. Did your raise him as a steer?
