This years buck

Didn’t see much action at the feeders or in the oats this season so I mostly hunted in brush blinds away from feeders. Christmas night I decided to drive around looking for pigs by the creek. Didn’t see any pigs but found a good bedding area with a couple good bucks snoozing. I backed off a good bit, put some corn on the ground and made a little brush blind as quietly as possible. Got in the blind the next morning and caught him slipping. Gotta love it when a plan comes together. Pictures aren’t that good but he’s at the taxidermist and in a few long months I’ll be able to look at him whenever I want. Measured 149 and some change.

68rustbucket that’s what everyone keeps telling me. I’ll measure it again when I get it back. I used that sticky tape to measure it and don’t know where I could have messed up. I think I could of got to 150” looking at where I measured the spread. I was still pretty excited when I was doing it.

Looks good to me. Takes a lot of bone to crack 150"...
