Still painting on redheads I carved late this summer, got a few done this week. A gunning drake, light and dark hen, bottle topper.

These birds started out as 8/4 S2S lumber, basswood. Heads made from 16/4 rough cut bass. Drew the patterns, cut them out on the bandsaw, and carved with a combination of hand and power tools. Sealed in marine epoxy and painted in artist oil paints.
