Length of trout?

Well my buddy and I had a few minutes before I had to fly out of Colorado so we decided to fish a mountain stream. Wouldn't you know it I caught my biggest ( well only ) Brown trout ever. I snapped a crappy photo real quick but we didn't have a tape before I released it. My buddy guessed 18" but could any of you photo experts give me your opinion? Thanks!

Great! Next time remember a dollar bill is almost exactly 6 inches.

But the dollar is shrinking.

Use a certain body part. The fish should go at least 24".

Did you notice the notch in one gill? It must have been high fence or pond.

I would say closer to 16 than 18 but still a nice trout

I I'm going with 16 arms bent fish fairly close this fish was right at 19 when browns get over 17 they grow up in hight as well. Great fish for sure congratulations on your first Brown. I fly fish for trout 25-35 days a year and have seen a bunch.

I'd say give him another year
