Kansas buck down!!!

Ramsey left out this morning to head back to Kansas. Last weekend he had a buck come in that they have had on camera and he was determined. Being they are in the feeding pattern still, his window was getting smaller.

I spent last weekend up here and the deer on my place were fairly consistent in their movement. I had a 11 point come out last Friday and he was broadside at fifty yards. On Sunday there was a bachelor group of six with three shooters, but they stayed out of range. Tonight it was 60 degrees with a NW wind at 20 mph. I was concerned the deer would not come on because they would have to walk downwind. At 7:20 this ten point comes in and stops broadside at 10 yards. My dog tracked him in less than a minute. One of the easiest hunts I have ever been. Thanks to Txshntr for all the help. Could not have harvested the deer without him, I had to pull him out of a creekbottom 6" at a time. I am betting he weighs 250. Freaking coyotes could not shut up while I was field dressing him.

Man that buck looks so much bigger on that ground than he did in the trail cam pics. Congrats again. I'm anxious to get back out there.

It was a chore dragging him out of the creek bottom. Everything I had to pull him 6"

Ramsey didn't tell you, but this is his biggest buck to date. I don't care what the TV shows make it look like, getting a shooter within bow range in Kansas is no small feat. Congrats again buddy, can't wait to see it. Be careful on your drive in
