Me and The Kid fishing

Been fishing with Erath Kid at his new property by Bluffdale. We had a delicious fish fry yesterday. I'll let all the bass junkies speculate about what happened to the hogs....

We've been having the time of our lives. It is a beautiful lake. About 100 acres or so. FULL of fish.

I eat bass....figure I'm just thinning the herd so the others can grow bigger...

Bass are scrumptious...We let the big fish go BTW.

Is it a HB or LB pond (high bank/lowbank)

I would be tempted to raise a few hard fighting Hybrids, but could sure settle for great BB fishing. You have a diamond of a pond Erath

No. Don't know what your talking about..... It was a typical Erath Kid expedition, light on tackle, using light tackle for big fish.....I didn't think I was gonna get that one in. I had to sound the drama alert on Mike he was getting so worked up over me getting that one into the boat....

Every time he hooks into one I expect a 5 lb bass then here comes this little tiny 6 in bass LOL. Catching a nice bass on small tackle can be a blast though.

Low bank. I just can't get excited over HB fishing. Using light spinning gear with 8lb test is a blast. Better to have hooked and lost than to have never hooked at all.

Haha he woke up from a dead sleep on the way home and yelled daddy we eat fish. I turned to answer him and he was back asleep.

Well done guys!.... The secret to keeping big fish in a pond is to have regular fish fries out of it; I like to think of it as an equity harvest.

Thanks guys. My Wife thought I was crazy when I found the listing on the internet and told her, "please honey-baby darling, puddin'pie". Can we buy it, can we buy it, Purdy-please? She finally agreed. Gosh I love that woman...Problem is now she wants to build a big new home on it in the next few years. We don't need a new home on it since it's 5 minutes from our ranch property. What Momma wants she usually gets though.
